Um, that name PinoyCosplay was already taken years ago... is that the reason why you joined our Yahoogroup? Because as much as I would like to be your friend and would like to have you as our member, I must admit that my co-moderators and I, along with the group owner of the original PinoyCosplay site, are worried you are using our name. As much as I'd also like to give you full control of the name, I just personally inherited it myself long with 3 other people, so it wouldn't be fair for the others involved if I just attacked you like this.
groups.yahoo.com/group/pinoy_cosplay. I was informed of your list's existence by Paul of FilCosplay after PinoyCosplay.com was publicly announced. I also understand you hold no trademarks to the phrase "Pinoy Cosplay".
I had actually never heard of you until then. Closed-archive, limited-membership, low-activity mailing lists don't place very well on Google.
Nevertheless, I recognize your contribution to Philippine cosplay. As such, I hereby propose a merger between PinoyCosplay.com and groups.yahoo.com/group/pinoy_cosplay. This way, Philippine cosplay can be synergistically developed across two online media: a web forum, and a mailing list. The sum will be greater than its parts.
My seven years of web strategy experience, combined with your intimate cosplay community knowledge, will catapult your list to new levels of usefulness and popularity.
Let's work together to build a better, more open, more accessible, more useful Web service for Philippine cosplayers.
I had actually never heard of you until then. Closed-archive, limited-membership, low-activity mailing lists don't place very well on Google.
Yeah right! If I GOOGLE PinoyCosplay, I would get not just your forum sight but also the ML. In fact ligaya's Pinoycosplay despite being "Closed-archive, limited-membership, low-activity mailing list" shows up to the 2nd page. SO I pretty much doubt that you HAVE NOT heard of the original PINOYCOSPLAY ML without at least googling it.
In fact here's proof: http://www.geocities.com/eva_guy01/proof_img.jpg
Like I said, they don't rank very well. A Google search for "pinoy cosplay" does not return any pages from groups.yahoo.com/group/pinoy_cosplay at all.
I checked the link and even tried it in Google and I can see very clearly that THERE IS a ML. And also, the ML is also listed in Anime Web Turnpike.
Admit it.. you just didn't do your research and you don't have that 7 years of experience in anything in web...
Research is research... you are just pretty stypud to know that.
The founder of the Pinoy Cosplay mailing list, Noelle de Guzman, has spoken on this matter.
Oh, and their archives are now open. Check 'em out. ;)
Thank you, Miranda, rien, and Ligaya, for standing up for the rights of the Pinoy Cosplay ML.
THEY ONLY DID WHAT THEY HAD TO DO, MISS NOELLE. I WOULD BE PROUD OF THEM IF I WERE YOU.
HEY, DIDN'T THIS FORUM HAVE 8 COMMENTS BEFORE? WHY ARE THERE ONLY 7 NOW? WERE THE LAST 2 DELETED?
@ telefunken: Oh yes they were. For shame, huh? I do hope you were able to save the original post with the original comments before this trite turncoat deleted them.
