Verizon hasn't given up on the telco monopolies' moneymaking dream of the idiotproof locked-in unified access device. They've just released the ambitiously-named Verizon One Phone -- a POST phone, DSL modem, rudimentary family PIM, and wireless router all in one.
Okay, I can forgive Verizon for this (admittedly slick) effort at pandering to dummies. After all, they've got FiOS -- 15 Mbps for US$ 44.95.
Hey, Philippine telco monopoly PLDT, when will you realize that US$ 55 for 1 Mbps is just silly?
