I just learned that the guy in charge of American nukes, General James Cartwright, has a blog to get direct feedback from across the chain of command.
Now there's another use for blogs: to cost-efficiently cut through bureaucracy and create more agile organizations. To quote Cartwright: "The Napoleonic Code and Netcentric Collaboration cannot exist in the same space and time."
