Amazon May Get a Second Life

Level Up pioneered gamevertising in the Philippines, while Mobius and e-Games are now carrying the torch.

Wonder if they can eventually use this as a case study with National and Goodwill: Amazon engineers are studying how to hook in to Second Life.

Wikipedia and the Long Tail

Fred Wilson got kicked off Wikipedia for not being notable. Robert Scoble thinks that's lame.

I got kicked off Wikipedia, too. Their whole definition of notable does not acknowledge the increasing fragmentation of information markets. It is a relic of limited-space paper encyclopedias, incompatible with Long Tail thinking.

And now, in the moneygrubbing spirit of the McDonald's coffee case: a 14-year-old girl sues MySpace for getting her sexually assaulted, to the tune of $30 million.

Congratulations, Tom. You know you've arrived as a company when you get the kind of stupid lawsuits McDonald's does.

You know why this doesn't happen to Friendster? Filipinos dominate Friendster, and Filipinos don't do frivolous lawsuits.
