Before the Industrial Age interruption of manufactured sexpots, the ancient market for sex symbols was intimate, personal, multifaceted, and conversational. Social media revives that.

Microsoft Sued for WGA Spyware

Windows Genuine Advantage is spyware. About time someone sued Microsoft for it.

Maybe this could have been avoided. Maybe Scoble could have resolved this through the global conversation.

Of course, we'll never know now, will we?

Where the Hell is Matt?

Check out this dude dancing in places he's travelled.

Someone should put this guy on the International Space Station so he can dance in zero-g.

Net Neutrality Amendment Rejected

Aw, shit. Net neutrality amendment rejected.

A proposal to prevent Internet service providers from charging Web firms more for faster service to consumers failed yesterday to clear a Senate committee.

The vote was a setback for such companies as Google Inc., Yahoo Inc. and Skype Technologies SA, which had pushed for rules that would prohibit telecommunications companies from controlling the flow of online content. The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee took up the matter as part of a larger telecommunications bill, which passed 15 to 7. But some telecom experts said the party-line, 11 to 11 vote on "net neutrality" could signal a tougher fight to get the larger telecom bill passed on the Senate floor.

First some girl sues MySpace for getting her assaulted, and now some schools file an injunction against Google for "hacking" personal info.

Dumbasses always blame cool sites for their own stupidity.

SF2 XBLA July 30?

The Capcom Team is living proof that classic hardcore gaming fandom is alive and well in the Philippines. That's the kind of fandom Microsoft's counting on to push digital distribution and microtransaction with Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting for Xbox Live Arcade, rumored to be shipping July 30.

Hope Microsoft Philippines doesn't miss this opportunity to launch Xbox Live in the Philippines. Local gamers are used to to prepaid payment gateways; Microsoft Philippines can use those to overcome the country's low credit card penetration.
