JC Quits Mobius

At least Microsoft has 3,000 well-trained employee bloggers to sub for Scoble.

Philippine game publisher Mobius has no one to sub for local gaming guru blogger John Cuneta.

Filipinos Test Friendster Ads

Five million of Friendster's 21 million users are Filipino (in fact, Filipinos made up half their user base last year), so I'm not surprised Friendster Ads are initially available only to Filipinos.

Viva Hot Babes: Sheree and Alyssa

Philippine entertainment company Viva maintains a group of beautiful women appropriately called the Viva Hot Babes.

Here's Sheree Bautista, an original Viva Hot Babe who can sing...

...and here's Alyssa Alano, a new Viva Hot Babe who can't.

PC Mag Blogging Intro

This month's PC Magazine Philippines features a great introduction to blogging.

Disclosure: I wrote it.

Waka Laka for Anakin!

In the tradition of Waka Laka for Osaka, and in anticipation of New Worlds 4, I give you...

US WWII Vet Fulfills Lifelong Dream to Be a Filipino

While too many Filipinos want to be Americans, American WWII veteran Charles William Mosser just got his lifelong dream: to be a Filipino.

Charles William Mosser

He isn't here to rape and pillage, either: he distributes books to schoolkids, and has planted four million trees (with eleven million more on the way).

It’s not that I don’t like being American, I just like being Filipino better. Having American blood myself, I know what he means. Happy Republic Day, everyone.

Scoble's Gates and Ballmer Interview Clips

In honor of Robert Scoble's leaving Microsoft, I give you clips of his interviews with Steve Ballmer...

...and Bill Gates.

Ballmer on blogging: If people need to be trained or understand better, we can always do that. Exactly.

Scoble Leaving Microsoft

If I told you the world's greatest tech blogger quit working for the world's richest tech mogul, to work on a small startup built on emerging tech, you'd think I was crazy, right?

Wrong. Robert Scoble is leaving Microsoft for PodTech.

Too bad Microsoft Philippines never got to know him.
