How Gameworlds End
Ren Reynolds notes that Asheron's Call 2 players are becoming sentimental in-game shutterbugs and fanfic writers as their gameworld ends December 30.
If a publisher must end one gameworld, but hopes to stay in business with others, it should end that gameworld with dignity. Asheron's Call 2 publisher Turbine intends to stay in business with such huge licenses as Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Too bad Fairyland Philippines didn't meet such a dignified apocalypse.
