Ragnarok Unreal

BeyondUnreal confirms that Ragnarok Online 2 will use the full-3D Unreal engine.



The first Ragnarok Online's 2.5D engine turned off many hardcore gamers; if Gravity tweaks the gameplay to reduce level-grind, they may yet get a chunk of that market. With two million registered users here, Ragnarok Online is the top MMOG in the Philippines. If brought in, Ragnarok Online 2 could trigger another wave of Internet café upgrades similar to that sparked by Counter-Strike years ago.

eBay Buys Skype

(Via Scoble) Martin Geddes calls it the synergy of P2P ecommerce and P2P VoIP. Jeff Pulver agrees that future historians will call it "one of the great indicators of the historic transformation in communications".

Telcos and banks beware: eBay bought Skype yesterday.
